JENOLITE Stain Blocker Paint is a highly pigmented white primer aerosol designed to permanently block and cover existing stains on a wide variety of interior surfaces. It prevents water marks, rust, nicotine, grease, soot, pen marks, and other stubborn stains from showing through your topcoat.
2. What surfaces can it be used on?
The Stain Blocker Paint is suitable for most interior surfaces, including:

- Damp areas such as bathrooms, kitchens, and utility rooms

4. How does it prevent stains from reappearing?
JENOLITE Stain Blocker Paint contains high pigment and sealing properties that encapsulate the stain. Once cured, it forms a smooth, impervious layer that prevents moisture and pigment from bleeding through subsequent coats of paint.
5. Can it be painted over?
Yes. Once fully cured (approximately 60 minutes), the Stain Blocker Paint can be painted over with your choice of decorative topcoat or left as a smooth white finish. It acts as both a primer and sealer.
6. Is it suitable for high-humidity areas?
Yes. This paint is ideal for bathrooms, kitchens, utility rooms, and other damp environments, where it provides both stain blocking and moisture resistance.
7. How should I apply JENOLITE Stain Blocker Paint?
Step 1 – Preparation
- Ensure the area is free from loose dirt, dust, grease, or surface contamination.
- Lightly sand glossy or flaky surfaces for better adhesion.
- Use only in well-ventilated areas.
Step 2 – Shake & Spray
- Shake the aerosol can thoroughly until the agitator ball rattles freely.
- Hold the can 15–30cm from the surface and apply thin, even coats using smooth, back-and-forth strokes.
Step 3 – Drying
- Touch dry within minutes.
- Fully cured and ready for overcoating in 60 minutes.
Step 4 – Storage & Reuse
- After use, invert the can and depress the actuator for a few seconds to clear the nozzle.
- Store in a cool, ventilated area, away from direct sunlight and temperatures above 50°C.
8. How many square metres does one 400ml aerosol cover?
One can covers approximately 2–4 square metres, depending on the porosity of the surface and the number of coats applied.
9. Can it be used on damp walls?
Yes. The formula allows for application to slightly damp surfaces, making it especially useful for areas prone to water marks and humidity. However, extremely wet surfaces should be dried before application for optimal adhesion.
10. Is it safe to use indoors?
Yes, provided that the area is well-ventilated. Avoid inhaling spray fumes and follow the safety instructions provided on the Safety Data Sheet.
11. Does it resist flaking or peeling?
Yes. Once fully cured, the paint forms a durable, smooth layer that adheres well to most interior surfaces and provides long-lasting stain prevention.
12. Can it seal mould and mildew?
Yes. While it blocks visible mould or mildew stains, it is recommended to treat active mould with a suitable anti-mould solution before painting to prevent regrowth.
13. Can it be used as a primer under decorative paints?
Yes. It functions as a primer and sealer, providing an excellent base for water-based or oil-based decorative topcoats.
